I made this side table with a bunch of contrasting elements. When moulding a heavy base, I gave it a soft textile-like texture. The exaggerated squeeze on top of it shows the ease with which the floating flower manipulates the concrete. It gives a feeling of almost a primal process of nature, when – over time – a fragile plant can crush stone.
