Get to know me better!
I’m Mateusz – born in 1987 in Poland, with a chapter of my life spent in Spain, currently based in the Netherlands.
After earning a degree in Psychology from the University of Łódź, I spent over a decade building experience in public relations, marketing, and customer relations. Over time, however, I realised that the corporate world didn’t align with me — a growing sense of burnout eventually led me back to my original passion: creation.
In 2020, I took a new direction and began my studies at Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands.
My design practice is rooted in material experimentation and an attraction to the unconventional. I often explore unexpected solutions, combining simple shapes with bold, bright colours — or, conversely, using expressive forms restrained by minimal or even absent colour. I like to believe that this contrast allows each element to speak with clarity and intention, keeping at the same time some element of mystery.
Throughout my education, I developed a deep appreciation for the performative aspects of design — not only in presenting physical objects but also in using the body itself as a medium.
I’ve learned that what matters most — even professionally — is to never forget to have fun. My goal is to express that through my designs, for both myself and others.
