Working on contrasts might be challenging but is also very rewarding. Making mundane materials look elegant, traditional ones – more contemporary. That was my main objective when I started working with reed.

With the series of experiments, I tried to give this old-fashioned material a more youthful feeling. Additionally, I wanted to find the simplest way to connect the reeds together, to use as little types of materials as possible. In the end, I used a chicken wire for connection and a pop of colour for a fresher feeling.

The prototypical application proposes an armchair that could be easily placed in both traditional and contemporary spaces.
